Services Performed
- Test drove and verified vehicle goes into limp mode under fuel acceleration. Verified p0087 – FRP too low. Monitored FRP and found frp was only at 21,xxx psi while commanding 25,xxx psi.. lower fuel filters on aftermarket lift pump appear to be newer. Top filter is bypassed. Recommend replacing the fuel pressure regulator, and injectors. Suspect injectors are bleeding off and unable to create the pressure at WOT.
- fuel injectors removed and replaced. Torqued all injectors to spec. Installed new lines as well. Installed new pressure regulator. Test drove and FRP is keeping up with desired. Truck has not gone into limp mode after installing new injectors. After test driving did notice coolant level dropped significantly. Pressure tested the cooling system and found thermostats are leaking.
- FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR – Remove & Replace – Diesel w/Air Cond – [Includes: R&I Alternator.]
- Heater hose removed and fittings removed and replaced. Vacuum filled the cooling system and verified no leaks coming from the heater hoses after test drive.
